How It Works
Giving through your donor-advised fund can take only a few minutes.
1. Begin With EasyDAF
Click the Recommend a Grant button to open North Park Cat Rescue’s EasyDAF form.
2. Select Your DAF Provider
Identify the financial institution, community foundation, or charitable organization that administers your donor-advised fund.
3. Tell Us About Your Grant
Enter the amount and details of your proposed gift. This information helps North Park Cat Rescue identify, reconcile, and acknowledge your grant when it arrives.
4. Log In Directly With Your Provider
EasyDAF will provide North Park Cat Rescue’s tax ID and direct you to your DAF provider’s login page.
GivingIQ will not ask for or receive your DAF login credentials. You will sign in directly through your sponsoring organization’s website.
5. Submit Your Recommendation
Locate North Park Cat Rescue using our tax ID, complete the grant recommendation, and submit it as you normally would through your DAF provider.
Your DAF administrator will review the request and send the approved grant to North Park Cat Rescue.

What is a donor-advised fund?
A donor-advised fund is a charitable giving account administered by a sponsoring organization. Donors contribute assets to the account and may later recommend grants to eligible nonprofit organizations.
The sponsoring organization legally controls the funds and has final approval over grant distributions.
How do I recommend a grant to North Park Cat Rescue?
Click the Recommend a Grant button and complete the EasyDAF form. You will be asked to identify your DAF provider and enter basic information about the grant.
EasyDAF will then provide our tax ID and direct you to your provider’s website, where you can log in and submit your recommendation.

Will I receive a charitable tax receipt?
North Park Cat Rescue can acknowledge that your grant was received, but it will not issue a charitable tax receipt for the DAF grant.
Any eligible charitable deduction was generally associated with your original contribution to the donor-advised fund, rather than the later grant distribution.
Will North Park Cat Rescue know the grant came from me?
Your DAF administrator will generally send donor information with the grant unless you request anonymity.
GivingIQ also provides options to prevent your name from being publicly displayed or to withhold your personal information from North Park Cat Rescue.
Can I make a recurring grant?
Recurring grant options vary by sponsoring organization. Many DAF providers allow donors to schedule recurring recommendations to an eligible nonprofit.

How long will the grant take to arrive?
Processing times vary by DAF administrator. Some grants are sent electronically, while others may arrive by check.
